PSEB 12th Pass Percentages Statistics of Previous Years – Punjab State:
In 2016: As many as 3,18,453 students have appeared for this year’s Class 12 exam, out of which 2,44,487 have passed. This year’s pass percentage is 76.77 %, slightly higher from last year’s 76.24 %. And in the year 2017, the total pass percentage was stood at 62.36%..
The girls have outperformed boys by scoring 84.3 pass percent while boys have registered 71.12 in Class 12 exam results declared today by Punjab Secondary Education Board (PSEB).
Ludhiana’s Mahima Nagpal has secured the top spot by scoring 99.56 percent. Komal Rani from Patiala is second with 99.33 percent marks while Rhea of Ludhiana has got the third position with 98.67 percent marks.
In 2015: The state has recorded a pass percentage of 76.24 percent. This year, approximately 3.5 lakh students appeared for the exams, out of this 1.97 lakh were girls and 1.52 lakh were boys.

In 2014: A total of 2,99,057 candidates had appeared for the exam out of which 2,52,471 students passed. This shows that the overall pass percentage of the students has reached 84.42 percent this year.
Out of the total 1,37,756 girls, 1,23,736 have cleared the examination whereas out of the total boys 1,61,301 boys, 1,28,735 have managed to pass. The overall pass percentage of boys is 79.81, on the other hand, 89.82 percent of girls passed.
Ludhiana has bagged the top position with maximum no. of merit holders i.e. 108. The overall pass percentage of government schools is 84.16 which is comparatively higher than that of aided schools which are 81.29.
In 2013: More than three lakh students took the examinations in March and the total pass percentage was 78.97 percent. The last year’s percentage was 72.31 percent,” state Education Minister Sikander Singh Maluka, who was along with PSEB Chairperson, Tejinder Kaur Dhaliwal, told reporters in Mohali.
Ludhiana and Maninder Kaur of GTB Khalsa Senior Secondary School Malout jointly topped in the examination by securing 96.89 percent marks.
